Plum is the soul of a young human who manifested in the realm of the afterlife with bat-like features reflecting the nature of his death; a fall to his death during the night.
Upon awakening in the afterlife, Plum finds himself without his memories from life and takes on the appearance of a cracked porcelain doll with small unusable wings. He is a accompanied by a wisp in the shape of a bat, which is, unknown to him, the part of his soul that contained his memories. After the wisp rejoins with Plum and he fully regains his memories, he takes on his current more-colorful appearance and mischievous personality.
In the realm of afterlife, you can find Plum working a different job every time you see him, since he prioritizes doing as many things as possible for just a little bit than doing one thing for a long time.

Plum is a clumsy and mischievous, but overwhelmingly empathetic soul. Having lived an unfulfilling and lonely life, he continues to have difficulty finding balance even in his afterlife, but finds comfort in trying to discover who he is as a person while being surrounded by his friends in the afterlife.
He enjoys performing antics and tries not to take how he goes about things too seriously, but also very much cares about how he is perceived by others and does his best to be mindful of everyone's feelings. The afterlife for him is his second chance at life, so his goal is to act without overthinking and more impulsively to feel more alive than he did in life.
