Simeon is a gleeful and kind-hearted soul who manifested into the afterlife with tiger-like traits. Despite having come to the afterlife almost a decade ago, there seems to be no end to the amount of energy he has trying every single thing he was unable to do during his life, but nothing will conquer his immense love for baking—except snacking on every sort of baked good maybe.

Simeon is someone who can get along with just about anyone. He may be short, but his heart his huge and welcome to anyone who is willing to hear him out as much as he is willing to do so for them in turn.

He is the subject of mystery to those who do not know his story, constantly asking him how he’s able to see anything despite his thick bangs obscuring his eyes. But even he only has the energy to tell a story so many times, so he just replies to anyone who asks, “I don’t need to!”

Simeon is the soul of a young man who manifested into the afterlife and took on tiger-like traits.

In life, Simeon was one sibling in a set of twins. Simeon faced many obstacles during his time as a human—not because of his blindness at birth—but due to how other people treated him. While both he and his twin sister, Persephone, shared the same levels of ambition, Simeon was brushed off as being capable of anything meaningful while she was forced to tale on the entirety of her family’s pressure. But despite that, Persephone made sure to be one of few people who respected Simeon as a person fully capable of doing things even if needing to be done in a different way.

As adults, the two siblings moved out together into a shared apartment. While Persephone would go to work, Simeon would usually do a list of chores, including going out into the surrounding neighborhood after being shown where things are and how to find his way home. On one of his outings, Simeon stumbled into a baker while being entranced by the aromatic pastries in his possession, and charmed him with his giddy demeanor. At his request, the baker taught Simeon how to bake using his memory and other senses.

After being friends for awhile, the baker asked Simeon if he would be interested in helping at a bakery he planned to open in town, to which Simeon accepted and hurried home to tell his sister about. While entering the apartment, Simeon heard another person walking around and approached them—no one else could get into the apartment besides the two of them, and Persephone wouldn’t have anyone at home unless she were also there. Unbeknownst to Simeon, he had walked in on a burglary, and the person he had approached struck him down after being startled.

When Simeon awoke, he felt weird, and everything was darker than usual, but with the sudden and glaring sensation of sight reaching through to his eyes, he knew that everything had changed.
